My goal is to support and empower you to take charge of your health so that you can thrive instead of just survive. Together we will investigate factors that may be preventing you from attaining balance, and craft a plan to gently support your body to get back on track. Your body has an amazing ability to heal itself, but sometimes it just needs a little help! Being healthy on a foundational level not only feels good, but it also greatly reduces your risk for chronic disease.
As you can imagine, making adjustments to your diet is part of this approach. I believe that a healthy diet should be delicious and sustainable over the long term. There are an abundance of extremely restrictive diets being promoted that may do more harm than good in terms of overall health. We may need to do some short-term restrictions to uncover hidden food sensitivities, but I will coach you on how to find balance in this arena and adopt the mindset of nourishing your body with real food.
How You Will Benefit:
Balance Hormones and Lose Weight
Our body’s hormonal system is incredibly complex and interconnected. Many hormonal imbalances persist because of chronic stress and the overproduction of the cortisol, as well as diets featuring highly-refined and processed foods causing the overproduction of insulin. Environmental chemicals and problems with liver detoxification also contribute to the epidemic of estrogen dominance among women. Imbalanced hormones can affect your metabolism, making it very difficult to maintain a healthy weight.
Reduce Chronic Inflammation
Inflammation is typically associated with pain in the body, such as joint and muscle pain, but it is also an underlying cause of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and autoimmune disease. Even though pain killers may mask the symptoms, they will not fix the underlying problem. You need to take a whole-body approach to mitigate the source of chronic inflammation.
Improve Digestion
Healthy digestion is the cornerstone of good health. I can help you overcome problems such as frequent indigestion, heartburn, constipation, and IBS. An abundance of research about the friendly microorganisms that live in our guts shows that they help us with everything from maintaining a healthy immune system to enjoying good mental health. We need to take a proactive approach to keep the bad bugs at bay.
Reduce Stress and Increase Energy
We are all familiar with stress and how draining it can be. It is estimated that 60-80% of doctor’s visits have a stress-related component such as headaches, digestive disturbances, high blood pressure, skin conditions, and insomnia. I am passionate about helping people shift the balance of stress, because whether it comes from an internal or external source, it can wreak havoc on your well-being. I want you to enjoy restful nights and all-day energy!
